After receiving bad reviews of her latest film, famous actress HWANG Yeo-rae (LEE Ha-Nee) retreats to a Pacific island. There, she falls in love with the rich and eccentric entrepreneur Jonathan Na (LEE Sun-kyun) and the two of them get married. But what seems like a dream at first soon turns out to be a toxic marriage that Yeo-rae can’t escape from. Together with her young neighbor and fan KIM Beom-woo (GONG Myoung), she decides to kill Jonathan. But since the two are anything but professionals, things go wrong quickly.

After the historical film The Royal Tailor, Killing Romance marks director LEE Won-suk’s return to the comedy genre, in which he has already enjoyed success. His new film amazes not only with its many creative ideas, but also with the terrific and hilarious acting of LEE Ha-nee and Parasite star LEE Sun-kyun.
