Calligraphy

In our continuous effort to bring you closer to the rich culture of Korea, we would like to present a special event in our festival program. We sincerely invite you to join us in welcoming two professional calligraphers from the Korean Cultural Center of Frankfurt who will express the art of Korean calligraphy known as “Seoye” (서예) while honoring the fascinating history of Hangeul (한글), the Korean alphabet.

Calligraphy is a traditional art form deeply rooted in both Korean and Chinese history. Using a brush, ink and paper, intricate, beautiful and symbolic characters are created where each stroke is carefully executed and carries great meaning.

Korean calligraphy and Hangeul are intertwined elements of Korean culture. Together, they reflect the creativity and ingenuity of the Korean people.

During the festival, you will have the extraordinary opportunity to have your own name written in Hangeul by a professional calligrapher, adding a personal touch to your cultural experience. Don’t miss this opportunity to discover the world of Korean calligraphy and become part of a centuries-old tradition.
